Erfgoeddag - a day when heritage sites are open to the public and we were shown the sights by Willy who generously gave up his time to take us around the town. Here is Willy with Sarah at the Maadendale.

Sarah working on her performance piece in the cafeteria of the old Fire Station. We spent 3 days exploring Oudenaarde, meeting local people and joining in  their heritage day - we visited the tapestry centre, the beguinage, and  we tried the local beer and had our caricatures drawn !

Underground visited Oudenaarde in April to check out the fire-station.
Sharon and Sarah will be involved in Interface - a site specific project in the old firestation at Oudenaarde, Belgium in September 2011, curated by Christine Gist.

Roz Cran is our first artist in residence and she has set up her table, UHP, plants, books and materials in the main space.
She is in residence for 10 Mondays and has started by drawing, making diagrams and reading.

new space

After a month in residence Sharon and Sarah have painted the main space and cleared
away all the rubble, rubbish and detritus with much help from Paul
(from Hastings Trust upstairs). Now we just have to get connected to internet
and start planning.
